Today's brides can choose from a staggering array of colored inks, scripts, and papers in different shapes and sized.  Luxurious details now include moiré bows, hand painted flowers, watercolor effects, laser cut designs, shimmer embossed designs, colored liners and borders, and even dripping with lace, pearl spray or nettings.

Engraving is a centuries old printing process where the favor is pressed onto an etched metal plate, creating the letters that are slightly raised on the paper.  Engraving is elegant but also a bit more costly and time consuming, since a plate must be custom engraved for each client. 

Thermography, a less expensive alternative, is a process in which ink and power are fused together on the paper to create a raised lettering effect.  The average person really can't tell the difference between engraving and thermography.
